The gallery showcases how the communities lived during the precolonial era , it includes some of the traditional wear and artefacts used at the time. The section also shows a brief history of the struggle for independence featuring various freedom fighters
Brid collection
The Bird collection in Nairobi National Museum is quite extensive and is a must see for bird lovers. The bird gallery shows the various birds in East Africa grouped into birds of prey, sunbirds and water birds.
Nairobi Snake park
Despite being called a snake park the park contains a variery of animals including lizards,tortoises, crocodiles as well as snakes. The park serves as home for species that were rescued as well as endagered species. The exhibition also has an an aquarium section that contains fish from all over Kenya as well as some which can be found outside Kenya such as the Tanganyika and Malawi Fish.
