Nairobi National Park is regarded as the only national park in the city. The wide plains of Nairobi national park offers the animals an expansive area to live in. The plains are mostly savannah with occasional acacia trees dispersed in the area. The place is also not so far from the capital as it is around 1 hr drive from. Besides being a park it also contains the Nairobi Safari Walk and the Nairobi Animal Orphanage. The park has only the big four namely lions,buffalos, leopards and rhinos. Elephants can't be found in the area.

The park is home to a bountiful of wildlife including impalas,warthogs, black-backed jackals, ostrich , plain Zebras and the gazelle.

Nairobi Animal Orphanage

This is a rehabilitation centre for wild animals and doubles as a tourist attraction. Tourist get a chance to view various animals up close such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas

Ivory Burning Site Monument

This is the location where over 12 tonnes of Ivory were burned by the Late Daniel Arap Moi as a strong sign of Kenya's commitment to the conservation of wildlife and disdain towards poaching. At the Ivory burning site visitors can hold a picnic or even birdwatch.
