As a migration corridor a variety of wildlife can be found in the area including the reticulated giraffe, herds of elephants, lions , Grevy’s Zebras and the famous melanistic leopards. In total over 260 bird and 50 mammal species can be found in the area. African wild dogs can also be found within the area and their numbers have been increasing due to conservation efforts.
