Hell's Kitchen is a gorge that has been formed due to the gradual degradation of the soil in the area caused by wind and rain over time. However legend has it that the place was owned by a rich family who used to bathe in cow's milk, which made their God so furious that he decided to punish them by opening the ground and “swallowing” them creating the landscape. The area is known as Hell’s Kitchen due to intense temperatures in the area that can rise up to 40 degrees. The place is a 45 minutes drive from Malindi Town.

Gorges

The site is a rare phenomenon where erosion leads to a magnificent landscape. The rocks found there are made of sandstone and come in a variety of colours including yellows, red, white and crimson which create beautiful effects when the place is lit by the sun just right. This is a stunning place that you should dare not leave without taking photos
